Preparing for your Appointment
Hey there! We're so excited for your upcoming appointment. Here's a little rundown of what you can expect and some tips to make sure we get the best results possible.
Please fill out the client forms before your appointment
Permanent makeup procedures are a bit like painting–they're affected by the canvas they're done on. Factors like sun damage (even from tanning beds), uneven skin texture, or excessively dry or oily skin can influence the final result. Lifestyle, medications, smoking, metabolism, facial surgery, and the age of your skin can all contribute to fading over time.
Let's make sure your skin is in the best possible condition for your procedure. Here are a few tips:
Avoid alcoholic beverages, caffeinated drinks, multi-vitamins, fish oil, Advil, Ibuprofen, Aspirin and any blood thinners. They make your blood thinner and can cause unnecessary bleeding during your makeup procedure.
If you're getting an eyeliner procedure done, please remove your contact lenses and switch to glasses on the day of your appointment. Keep wearing the glasses for up to 7 days after your procedure.
Please remove lash extensions before an eyeliner procedure.
It's important to us that you're in a good place for your procedure. If you've taken alcohol, drugs or medication (like Prozac, Xanax, Valium, Prednisone...) before your appointment, we'll need to reschedule and there'll be a $100 missed appointment fee. No exceptions!
We don't perform procedures on pregnant or nursing individuals, or those trying to conceive.
Stop using any products that contain Retin-A, Glycol, or Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, or any exfoliant 3 weeks prior to your appointment.
For the best results, please have your fillers and injections done 4 weeks before or after your procedure.
You might be more sensitive to pain if you're pre or on your menstrual cycle. Try to plan your procedure so it's not at this point in your cycle.
If you have any medical conditions or are taking prescribed medication, please let us know and consult with your doctor. A written consent from them is required to get permanent makeup done.
If you're planning a lip blush procedure and have ever experienced a cold sore, even just once in your life, it's recommended you get a prescribed anti-viral medication (like Valtrex 2000 mg).
If you arrive at your appointment without the prescription, your procedure will need to be rescheduled and there'll be a $100 fee for the missed appointment. Please call us for more information.
If you have any blemishes, pimples, active cold sores, irritation on the skin of any kind, moles, or other skin imperfections in or around the area of the procedure, we won't be able to do the procedure until the area is clear. If you show up to your appointment and there is an area of concern, you will be rescheduled. No exceptions!
Touch-ups will be required to restore fading colors. It's difficult to predict exactly how long the permanent makeup will last since it depends greatly on your skin type and lifestyle. Expect your permanent makeup to last anywhere between 1-3 years before it shows signs of fading.
If you've had chemotherapy or radiation, you need to wait 6 months before having any permanent makeup done.
We look forward to seeing you at your appointment, and we're here to answer any questions you might have
